International cotton group, Queensland Cotton today announced an improved operating profit before tax of $9.2 million for the 2005 financial year (2004: $6.6 million), a 40% increase on the previous year. The stronger result captured benefits from geographic and operational diversification, as well as improved growing conditions for the companys traditional Australian grower base. read more
